Keystone Centre Foundation Announces “Legacy & Lights” Benefit Dinner

January 14, 2026

The Keystone Centre and Keystone Centre Foundation are proud to announce Legacy & Lights, the charity foundation’s inaugural gala dinner, with proceeds benefitting the Keystone Centre Foundation.

“The Keystone Centre Foundation Dinner marks an exciting new chapter for our community. This inaugural celebration invites Westman to come together in support of the Keystone Centre—our region’s cultural heartbeat and economic engine,” said Barry Cooper, Keystone Centre Foundation Executive Director. “Legacy & Lights is more than an event; it’s a moment to honour a facility that has shaped memories, hosted milestones, and strengthened our community for over 50 years. Together, we celebrate its impact and share in an evening of philanthropy, entertainment, and laughter—an evening that reflects the very spirit of Westman.”

Legacy & Lights will be held May 14th, and features special guest speaker Israel Idonije, former NFL defensive lineman and entrepreneur, as well as stand-up comedian Dave Hemstad. Tickets are on-sale now for the gala event, and can be purchased by contacting Rick Dillabough at 204-726-3522 or by e-mail at rick@keystonecentre.com.

“We are thrilled to welcome Israel Idonije and Dave Hemstad to Legacy & Lights,” said Connie Lawrence, Keystone Centre CEO & general manager. “Israel’s inspiring journey from Brandon to the NFL and beyond, combined with Dave’s incredible talent for comedy, promises an unforgettable evening of entertainment and community spirit. Their presence truly reflects the heart of what this event is all about—celebrating excellence, community, and giving back.”

The Keystone Centre Foundation was established to support the ongoing operation, improvement, and accessibility of the non-profit Keystone Centre. The fund invests tax-receiptable donations over time, and, under the terms of the agreement, the Keystone Centre may use the annual interest, or a portion of the capital investment as needed in the future for specific projects, helping to preserve the community facility for future generations.
