Finance/Accounting Summer Student

Job Duties
The Keystone Centre is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance/Accounting Summer Student to support the Finance Department with day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. This position provides hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment while supporting the financial operations of a major event and community facility.
This position is full-time and will involve working five days per week. Hours will generally be scheduled during regular business hours, with some flexibility required during peak event periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for the operation of refrigeration plants, boilers, HVAC and life safety systems,
- Maintaining an accurate and regular log system of all plants as well as being able to perform maintenance on such plants and equipment,
- Shift Work – 8 to 12 hour rotations including evenings, nights and weekends,
- Ability to work independently,
- General building maintenance.
Requirements
Under the direction of the Finance team, the Finance/Accounting Summer Student will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including data entry and filing
- Support invoice processing, reimbursement requests, and payment preparation
- Perform basic reconciliations and verification of financial records
- Assist with event-related financial tracking, settlement documentation, and reporting
- Maintain organized electronic and paper financial records
- Support month-end and general accounting tasks as assigned
- Help prepare financial spreadsheets, summaries, and reports
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Department as required
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all Keystone Centre financial policies and procedures
- Carry out all duties in accordance with Keystone Centre health and safety policies and procedures

Shift Engineer

Grounds Keeper

Job Duties
The Keystone Centre is seeking a motivated and reliable Grounds Keeper to support the maintenance and presentation of its outdoor facilities. This position plays an important role in ensuring the grounds remain safe, clean, and welcoming for staff, visitors, and event attendees.
This position is full-time and will involve working five days per week, with some weekend shifts required to support events and markets.
Key Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Maintenance team, the Grounds Keeper will be responsible for the following duties:
- Maintain all outdoor grounds at the Keystone Centre, including mowing lawns using ride-on and push power mowers
- Trim and maintain grass, edges, walkways, flower beds, and landscaped areas
- Plant and maintain grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs
- Prune trees and shrubs to improve appearance, health, and safety
- Water lawns, gardens, and shrubs as required
- Assist with the coordination, setup, and takedown of outdoor events, including events at the Clara Clear Top Venue
- Support weekend operations of the Keystone Centre Farmers’ Market, including site setup and general area oversight
- Ensure outdoor washrooms are clean, secured, and properly maintained
- Perform light maintenance, cleaning, and general grounds duties as assigned
- Carry out all tasks in accordance with Keystone Centre health and safety policies and procedures
Work Conditions
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for many tasks
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Repetitive and physically demanding work
- Ability to lift or move items up to 25 lbs
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, in varying weather condition
