The Keystone Centre, in association with Cenovus Energy, is pleased to introduce a new Community Initiative in time for the 2024-25 Western Hockey League season.

The “Cenovus Energy Community Corner” is a program that will begin this month and will see Cenovus Energy provide special Wheat King “Club” seats to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westman.

“We are thrilled to partner with Cenovus for this initiative,” says Tracy Williams, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westman. “Having access to the Cenovus Energy Community Corner will give our mentors and mentees a special experience that will further strengthen their bonds and create lasting memories. This initiative also helps raise awareness of our program and will hopefully encourage more individuals to step forward as mentors, allowing us to reach even more young people in need of support.”

The special “Club” seats will be situated in one of the new loge private boxes, located on the Westoba Place arena concourse.

These boxes will provide the fans a more flexible, private viewing experience as they overlook the arena bowl and are right on top of the action.

The ‘Cenovus Energy Community Corner’ is one way we can help create lasting memories for young people and their mentors while supporting an organization that plays such an important role in building meaningful relationships in our community,” said Avi Bahl, Senior Manager at Cenovus Energy’s Ethanol Plant in Minnedosa. “We’re proud to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westman and provide this unique opportunity to their mentors and kids.”

Members of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westman Mentoring program are expected to be at Westoba Place on Saturday, October 5th when the Wheat Kings play host to the visiting Swift Current Broncos.
